Mycelium (my-cee-lee-yummm!!!) is the root-like structure of mushrooms. Outside, it grows beneath the forest floor. It serves as a communication system and nutrient pathway for an infinite number of living organisms. Mycelium is vital to plant and soil health; in short, it’s amazing!
In the woods, it’s not ready for us to eat. But when grown inside our special farm, mycelium has the potential to feed the future. You can learn more about mycelium on our blog HERE.

Q: What is MyBacon?
MyBacon is a plant-based Kosher and Keto-certified meatless bacon made from farm-grown, organic oyster mushroom mycelium. MyBacon is MyForest Foods’ first product. MyBacon offers the taste and texture of traditional pork bacon using minimal ingredients.

Q: What certifications do we have?

Q: What are the refrigerated and frozen product shelf lives?
When sold in the refrigerated section of the grocery store, the shelf-life is 35 days. If purchased refrigerated, do not refreeze. If frozen, MyBacon lasts for up to 4 months.

Our nutrition facts panel and short ingredient list is for you to judge! We’re proud of our recipe—especially what’s NOT in it. No binders, fillers, preservatives, or anything weird. This clean label totally stands out in the crowd of plant-based meats alternatives. Mycelium is a complete protein that contains all 9 essential amino acids. It’s also a source of fiber. Fun fact- two slices of MyBacon is equivalent to one serving of veggies!
